Applications are ongoing for PhD High-Performance Architectures offered by the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen commencing 1 November 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.The positions are funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark Grant “Functional Technology for High-Performance Architectures (FUTHARK)” held by Professor Fritz Henglein.
The overall objective of FUTHARK is to advance both expressiveness and practical performance of functional and domain-specific languages for massively parallel computing based on both fundamental theory and advanced compiler technology and engineering.
Course Level: Fellowship is available for PhD students.
Study Subject: Functional technology for high-performance architectures.
Scholarship Award: The position is available for a 3-5 year period and your key tasks as a PhD student at SCIENCE

Entrance Requirements: Applicants should hold:
A BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field and good English skills
Demonstrated talent within programming languages e.g. by top grades in relevant courses in mathematics or computer science or by publications at conferences like PLDI, POPL and ICFP.
English Language Requirements: The applicants must be fluent in English.
