The EUBCE Students Awards will be delivered in recognition of the most remarkable and outstanding research work in the field of Biomass on the occasion of EUBCE 2019.
The applications will be reviewed and scored by the International Scientific and Industry Committee, made up of leading research and industry expert from the global Biomass Community.
All student awardee is given oral or poster presentations at the conference, and their abstract is especially noted in the programme guide as being a student award. The award for each awardee consists of a certificate and recognition at the EUBCE Closing session on Thursday 30 May 2019.
Note: any student award finalist who is unable to attend the EUBCE for any reason will forfeit his / her position in the competition, and an alternate will be selected from the remaining student award applicants.
How to apply
In order to apply for the EUBCE Student Awards applicants must:
submit an extended abstract (one-page abstract plus a maximum of 3 explanatory pages) to the 27th EUBCE via the Online Abstract Submission Form of this website by 5 November 2018
be officially matriculated students, including Ph.D. students, by May 2019
be within the age limit of 30 years old for students
be within the age limit of 35 years old for Ph.D. students
Add a letter of recommendation by a student’s supervisor(s) or head of the department stating the name of the applicant and the institution where the research work is supervised, confirming that the applicant is an officially matriculated student.
Recommendations should include a report of up to one A4 page that outlines how the research work will make an outstanding contribution to the discipline and what the specific contribution of the applicant is.
