Southampton Business School PhD Studentship for Research Students is now available full-time on its PhD programme commencing in Oct 2018
The studentships will last for a maximum of three years (subject to an annual review of progress)
The Department of Banking and Finance seeks to recruit excellent PhD students to conduct research in Empirical Banking. The PhD students play a very important role in the department in propelling forward novel research at the same time as their own career potential. For example, a number of the PhD students gain internships at the IMF and at the Bank of England. Staff in the department have a wealth of experience publishing in these areas and now wish to incorporate new empirical banking research into any area of bank risk management and bank profitability in a low interest rate environment.
Research in this subject area is currently undertaken by members of the Department of Banking and Finance and the related Centre for Banking Finance and Sustainable Development (CBFSD) and Computational Finance and Business Analytics (CFBA) Research Centre
INSTITUTION OF STUDY: Southampton Business School Highfield Campus
LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Masters degree
NATIONALITY ELIGIBLE: Applicants from the UK, the EU and overseas.
AMOUNT: Studentship will provide a maintenance allowance of £14,000 per annum, in addition to payment of tuition fees at home/EU level or international level as determined by the University
